About the curator

Stephen takes his footwear seriously.

Stephen has been collecting trainers for [how long, to confirm]. What began as a few pairs for [the occasion, to confirm] has grown into a catalogue of 200 pairs, each one numbered, photographed and kept in a condition the curator describes as "museum-grade".

He has been asked to stop calling the spare room a vault. He has declined. The room is climate-friendly, has good lighting and contains a sign that reads "Look, don't touch".

Visitors often ask which pair is the most valuable. The curator's answer is always the same: the one you are wearing is the most valuable, and it is not for sale.

Viewings are by appointment only. Please remove your shoes at the door and leave your opinions with the tea.
